Submission package

Prepare three separate files

Each file must be clearly named and uploaded in PDF, DOC or DOCX format.

01

Anonymous manuscript

The complete scientific text without names, affiliations, acknowledgements that reveal identity, or identifying document metadata.

02

Title page

The title, all authors, affiliations, ORCID identifiers, corresponding-author details, contributions and acknowledgements.

03

Cover letter

A concise explanation of originality, importance, fit with JEERESD and confirmation that every author approved the submission.

01

Title page

The title page is not shared with blinded reviewers and must contain:

  • A concise and informative manuscript title.
  • Full name of every author in the agreed publication order.
  • Institution, department, city and country for every affiliation.
  • ORCID identifier for each author where available.
  • Name, postal address and email of the corresponding author.
  • A clear statement of each author’s contribution.
  • Acknowledgements, funding information and conflicts of interest.

02

    Title

Specific, accurate and understandable without unexplained abbreviations.

  2. 2
    Abstract

A self-contained summary reflecting the purpose, approach, principal findings and conclusion.

  3. 3
    Keywords

Relevant terms that complement the words used in the title and improve discoverability.

  4. 4
    Main text

Sections required for the selected article type, with clear and logically ordered headings.

  5. 5
    Declarations

Ethics, consent, funding, conflicts, data availability and any use of generative AI tools.

  6. 6
    References

Only cited sources, presented consistently in APA 7th edition.

  7. 7
    Tables and figure legends

Numbered in the order first cited in the text.

Text and formatting

  • Submit an editable Word document whenever possible.
  • Use a clear, readable font and consistent heading hierarchy.
  • Use double spacing and continuous line numbering to support peer review.
  • Number pages consecutively and define abbreviations at first use.
  • Use SI units and report statistical methods, estimates and uncertainty clearly.
  • Write in clear academic English or French and check spelling before submission.

04

Tables, figures and supplementary files

  • Every table and figure must be cited in numerical order in the text.
  • Tables require a short title and explanatory notes below the table.
  • Figures require a complete legend and readable labels.
  • Do not repeat the same results in text, table and figure.
  • Remove names, logos or images that could reveal author identity during review.
  • Authors must have permission to reproduce previously published material.
  • Supplementary files must be clearly labelled and described in the manuscript.
