Board governance

Responsibilities and conflicts of interest

Board members are expected to uphold confidentiality, disclose competing interests, recuse themselves when impartiality could be questioned and protect the independence of peer review. Membership does not guarantee involvement in every submission.

A manuscript authored by a board member is handled by an independent editor, and that member has no access to reviewer selection or the editorial decision.
